Both Cromwell and a franchiser can help you to have a successful Restaurant. At Cromwell, we teach you to make your own sound decisions and offer advice to prepare you for your own success without paying 40 to 50% of your net profit to a franchise company.

A summary of the main differences between Cromwell and a franchise!
  • Both Cromwell and the franchiser will provide you with experienced, professional help. However, Cromwell’s principals are seasoned entrepreneurs who know what it takes to be your own boss and to successfully run your own business.

  • Both will provide you with a proven restaurant concept and procedures. The franchiser will not allow flexibility. Cromwell will educate you on the restaurant business and allow you to be creative in using your own ideas, giving you product flexibility in order to develop your own flavors and recipes that may be more popular for your specific market area.

  • You maintain complete control of your own destiny. You are not tied to the demands and restrictions of a franchise company.

  • Cromwell will provide you with site criteria and personal site selection advice by one of its owners.

  • Cromwell will provide cost flexibility in developing a store for your specific needs and budget. A franchiser will have a specific investment requirement. While a franchiser’s primary interest is in gross sales, Cromwell is only interested in your success (net profit related to gross sales). In other words with Cromwell you will spend less and make more.

  • With Cromwell you will pay a one-time consulting fee. A franchiser will charge you the entire franchise fee in advance and continue to collect fees (royalties and advertising) in the range of 7-12% of your monthly gross sales. If you want a partner who shares in the profits but makes no financial contribution then you should select a franchise. If you want sound advice, and autonomy, Cromwell can help you.
“We don’t know where we’d be without Cromwell.”
